Paisa Note (formerly mMoney) — last updated September 2026.

This policy explains what Paisa Note collects, why, how long we keep it, and how you can remove it. Paisa Note is the same app and account as mMoney, renamed.

Bank transaction messages

If you allow it during setup, Paisa Note reads bank transaction messages on your phone to add entries automatically. OTPs, offers and personal chats are skipped on your phone and never sent to us. Bank transaction messages you allow are kept with your account for as long as your account exists, and deleting your account deletes them. You can turn this permission off at any time in your phone's settings.

Contacts

When you split an expense with someone, we match your phone contacts as scrambled codes so we can find friends who already use Paisa Note. We do not save your contacts' names or numbers. If you used an earlier version of the app that uploaded contact details directly, those records from earlier versions are kept until you delete your account, at which point they are removed and redacted along with everything else tied to your account.

Account information

We store the basics needed to run your account: your sign-in identity, the entries, accounts, goals and splits you add, and your email address if you provide one, which we use for account communication, support and, where you have not unsubscribed, occasional emails about Paisa Note.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or by emailing us. Deleting your account deletes your entries, accounts, goals, bank transaction messages, and any contact records kept from earlier versions. See the account deletion page for the full steps.

Emails and unsubscribe

Any email we send you, including an occasional win-back email if you have been away for a while, carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works instantly with no sign-in required. We keep no record tying an unsubscribe back to your account beyond what is needed to honour it.

Advertising

The free version of Paisa Note shows ads through Google's ad network, which may use identifiers permitted by your device settings. Premium removes these ads.

Children's privacy

Paisa Note is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
